The main aim of CE-HEAT project is to improve energy efficiency in selected EU regions by sustainable usage of local energy source- waste heat. CE-HEAT project has presented methods of better waste heat management through comprehensive model and tools for the utilization of waste heat available in different forms and at different locations.
In frame of the project Poltegor-Institute developed a WASTE HEAT CADASTER for the Lower Silesia region containing information on the location of individual sources of waste heat and its quantity. The CADASTER is implemented as a part of a map service called Geoportal Dolny Śląsk run by the Marshall Office of the Lower Silesia Voivodship.

We invite you to get familiar with the WASTE HEAT CADASTER for the Lower Silesia region here.

Moreover, a toolbox for waste heat projects development and management was developed (WASTE HEAT TOOLBOX). This toolbox is an investment guide and manual for potential investors considering technical, environmental, financial and social aspects of a waste heat investment.

We invite you to get familiar with the WASTE HEAT TOOLBOX here.

Read about the WASTE HEAT TOOLBOX here.

The outcomes of the CE-HEAT project are addressed to regional and local authorities, energy and spatial planners as well as waste heat producers, potential investors and local institutions. The digital cadaster and developed tools create a WASTE HEAT PLATFORM which is useful for energy management authorities and can be easily integrated into existing or new climate and energy strategies and easily widespread to other areas in countries. A new approach to waste heat utilization enable energy management bodies to improve their strategy and policy planning and potential investors to increase investments in waste heat.

Visit the WASTE HEAT PLATFORM.

In frame of cooperation with the regional self-government, an action plan regarding the use of waste heat in the Lower Silesia region was also prepared.
