- Testing the tensile strength of conveyor belts, delamination, resistance to aging and comparisons with the requirements set for them by Polish and European standards,
- Assessment of the suitability of belts for work in specific conditions (e.g. puncture resistance, elevated temperature),
- Selection of belts for specific conveyors and operating conditions, taking into account the assumed capacity and the angle of inclination,
- Technology of joining and repairing ordinary, heat-resistant, oil-resistant and special belts with profiled covers,
- Non-standard special tests, e.g. checking the adhesion of the rubber lining to the conveyor drum.
Experimental production and technical services:
The Department develops and produces special prototype belts for working at an increased angle of incline, such as:
- with V-type profiles for transporting loose and packed materials,
- with high cross profiles for large conveyor angles,
- with sidewalls and cleat profiles for vertical transport,
- for specialized agricultural machines, weighing and packaging devices, drum cleaners, road gritters and others..
In addition, the Department prepares technological documentation of prototype rubber, rubber-metal and fabric-rubber elements, e.g. flexible couplings, bumpers, shock absorbers, membranes, elements of the flexible rail fastening system, etc.
